I have over 20 years’ experience in tax and accountancy, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2000 and a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2002. Over the years I have worked for two local accountancy practices as an audit manager and a tax consultant, recently working as a tax writer for a web-based firm before branching out on my own and joining Montacs as a consultant in 2017.
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1970 working for a Shropshire Chartered Accountancy firm rising to partner in 1975. I have always acted for family businesses, sole traders, partnerships, farmers and audit exempt companies providing accountancy, tax and general financial advice gathering a wealth of experience over the years.
Over 20 years’ experience across varying sectors including FMCG, Childcare Sector, Motor Trade, Manufacturing and various Service industries. Worked from an Accounts Administration position in my first job up to Head of Finance in several types of organisations (e.g. Sole Traders, Owner-Managed Limited Companies, Listed plc’s). I enjoy providing a first-class service to Customers to give them a positive experience when dealing with accounting issues with a complex nature.
A qualified accountant with over twenty years’ experience in accountancy practice, working with a wide range of clients in different sectors such as telecoms, hoteliers and manufacturing.
I enjoy being a core member of a team and like the leadership aspect of a senior role helping more junior members of the firm with their development. I have valuable career experience in the FMCG and food industry prior to qualifying as an accountant, which added to my understanding of the wider business environment.
Having studied both the ATT and CTA it has allowed me to develop my tax knowledge in order to provide a high level of service for our clients.
Having worked in a tax department previously, my past experiences have helped me develop necessary skills needed to advise clients on their queries.
As a member of the Tax Department, I am involved in the completion of tax projects and providing clients with tax efficient solutions.

I have experience working within accountancy practices having started in a small firm six years ago and am therefore able to help businesses of all sizes and in various sectors. My knowledge of cloud accounting and IT has proven beneficial to clients in their financial reporting. I am currently studying towards becoming ACCA qualified.
I have over 10 years’ experience working as an accounts assistant in various sectors. I have worked in various functions including credit control, purchase ledger, banking.
Most recently I have worked in the field of legal accounts where I gained a lot of knowledge regarding the SRA and client account rules. During this time, I have gained qualifications including the AAT and Legal Bookkeeping diploma with the Institute of Legal Finance and Management.
After progressing from an administration position to an accounts assistant role, I completed my AAT and worked within industry before starting in an accountancy firm which specialises in the license trade. I hope to continue my progression by studying towards ACCA to further my knowledge and skills.
MAAT qualified accounts assistant with over a decade of experience working in different sectors from education and travel to manufacturing.
I have previous experience of working in customer service and I believe that helped me to develop my approach of focusing on clients’ best interests.

Having previously worked within the fast-moving consumer goods industry prior to beginning my AAT studies. I gained knowledge and experience of business operations and the benefits of achieving KPI targets. Working in this industry has allowed me to interact with a wide range of people.

As a member of the tax department, I am involved heavily with the completion of tax projects and providing assistance to our clients in order to provide them with the most tax efficient solutions.

I have graduated from Cardiff University with a 1st Class Honours in Bsc Accounting. I am now studying towards my ACCA qualification which is allowing me to enhance my knowledge and skills in the accounting sector.

After achieving grades, A*- B in my GCSE’s and AS Levels whilst also working full time in customer service, I decided to take the first steps into achieving my career aspirations by applying for an Accountancy apprenticeship here at Montacs.
Within my apprenticeship I am currently working towards completing my AAT qualifications, whilst also looking forward to becoming ACCA qualified in the future.
I have 30 years’ experience in customer service, starting my career with a high street bank, becoming Assistant Manager & Portfolio Manager working with Commercial customers.
I moved to an accountancy practice as Office Manager and am now able to further my knowledge & skills in accountancy.
I have over 30 years’ experience working in various office administration roles, including banking, finance and accounts. I have gained a wealth of knowledge and skills during that time.
Since starting at Montacs in 2020 I have progressed to payroll which I have discovered I really enjoy.
I have over 30 years’ experience in customer service having started my career in a finance house which became a bank. I was Manager of the Word Processing, Database and Accounts Processing Departments before trying my hand at project management; eventually taking redundancy when the bank was taken over 26 years later.
My next move was into the legal world being personal assistant to the Principal Solicitor. Here I handled the incoming claims decision process and the businesses’ marketing along with general legal work.

Having previously worked within the childcare sector for 6 years, I decided to change my career path.
I have since worked within various office administration and customer service roles, including vehicle rental and banking, where my knowledge has developed rapidly.
